Your data on this site

Your PayPal contributions

Contributions are optional. Payment is made on PayPal to the project team. This site does not receive your card details. It stores the reference, amount and payment status, along with the name and email received from PayPal, to track the contribution and thank you. Stripe references for older contributions remain in private records.

Your account and suggestions

Your account uses a public name or nickname, a private email and a hashed password. A single-use link verifies your email. A recovery link lets you choose a new password; we never send your old password.

Your public name, post and date may appear on the suggestions page after moderation. Your email is not published. Verification links expire after 24 hours and recovery links after one hour. Do not include sensitive data in your posts.

Ratings and necessary cookies

Your rating and its date are linked to a random browser identifier, stored as a hash on the server. The SPWINVOTE cookie lasts one year and lets you update a rating without adding a vote. It does not identify a unique person: clearing cookies or changing browsers may allow another vote. Ratings do not require a name or email.

The session cookie protects forms and sign-in. Technical counters limit abuse. Neither an account nor a contribution subscribes you to marketing.

A necessary cookie remembers your language choice for one year. The country is estimated using a local database; your IP is not sent to a geolocation service.

Retention and your rights

Account data and contributions are kept while used by the project. Unverified requests and expired links can be deleted on request. Payment records needed for follow-up are kept according to the recipient’s applicable obligations.

To request access, correction or deletion, use the private form on Reviews & ideas. The team will verify your identity before making changes. Contact the team
